A 30-year veteran of the graphic design wars, I have specialized in the design and production of publications – particularly magazines and newspapers. I have been decorated for my efforts as a newspaper designer several times, and was once referred to as an “international expert in newspaper design” by my admittedly biased boss, in an article announcing a silver award for design for the Ottawa Business Journal in 2006.
But I do a lot more than publications! My repertoire also includes designing advertisements (I once calculated that I’d created 25,000 ads during my time in community newspapers!), brochures, logos and business cards, programmes, media kits, manuals, books, signage, and more. I even do audio transcription and database management!
In the fall of 2009, after nine years with the above-mentioned OBJ, I decided to hang out my own shingle and see if I could make a go of it on my own. You know what? It’s turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made. I love working for myself, and so far I’m making a pretty good go of it.
The only way it could be better is if I had more clients…and that’s where you come in! Please check out my online portfolio and give me a call if there’s anything I can do to help you!
